Our position
A hotel immersed in nature!
3 km far from Santa Teresa di Gallura, 25 km from Palau La Maddalena and 50 from Costa Smeralda, the Hotel Mirage lies in Capo Testa, one of the most beautiful spots in Sardinia, situated to the far north part of Sardinia overlooking the Bocche di Bonifacio, the sound separating the island from Corse.
The beaches, the sea, the landscape and the nature of Capo Testa and its surroundings are wonderful here; the famous Tombs of the Giants of Lu Brandali testify the presence of the ancient Sardinian civilization, the caves testify the Roman one, as the wonderful grey-pink granite was used for the buildings in Rome.
The promontory of Capo Testa is linked to the dry land by a thin isthmus and offers unique suggestive landscapes: pink-grey rocks smoothed down as statues plunge into a crystalline sea, with a thousand blue and green nuances. The sea beds are among the most beautiful ones in the world: giant granite rocks form grottoes where red and black corals, morays, congers-eels and lobsters live.
All the beaches are incredibly beautiful, with fine and white sands and the green Mediterranean maquis as a background, alternated with picturesque coves where the granite blocks, smoothed down by wind and water, create an extraordinarily rare lunar landscape.
Among the most beautiful beaches: Taltana, or Rena di Ponente, the ancient Roman colony Tibula, with white fine sand and crystal-clear water, repaired by the North wind and the Sirocco; Rena di Levante , that starts with a flat cliff followed by Capicciolu or Graniti beach, due to the numerous rocks, incredibly smoothed, surrounding it – there are still remains of Roman columns; Valle della Luna, following its walk among Cyclopean rocks, smoothed down by 300 million years of water and wind, you can get to three wonderful coves, with a magic and primitive atmosphere. Cala Spinosa is charming, not much frequented because it is hard to reach, in a majestic scenery of granites sunk in a crystal-clear sea, a paradise for the divers.
